June 3-7: Living History Camp
Summer camp is in session June 3-7, 1-5pm! The Heritage Center is partnering with the Doyle Community Center and the Kerr County Historical Commission for Living History Camp at the Doyle Center at 110 West Barnett Street in Kerrville. We have planned a week full of immersive history experiences with hands-on learning activities for 6–10-year-olds.
Discover what life was like in the early days of Kerr County, from the first people who roamed through the area to the early settlers of Kerr County. Live the history of Kerr County and its early peoples in an immersive day camp experience with costumed interpreters, facilitated activities, music, artmaking, and food making and tasting. Children will experience life, culture, and fun in small groups led by trained facilitators and volunteers.
Register for summer camp on the Doyle Community Center's website or by calling Kate Allen, 830-496-6481. Contact Angela Kennedy for questions about daily plans and learning activities, akennedy@hhheritagecenter.org, 830-955-5034.
Space is limited for this unique experience designed for our community’s youngest explorers and budding historians.
