Bill and his family moved to Kerrville in 1957 when his dad became the Kerr County Agricultural Agent. Bill graduated from Tivy High School, Texas A&M University, The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and University of Colorado as a Diagnostic radiologist. He returned to Kerrville in 1980 and practiced radiology for 40 years where he introduced CAT, ultrasound, and gamma camera imaging to the Hill Country. He served as a Kerrville Independent School District Trustee for six years, Kerrville City Council for two years, President of the Historic Downtown Business Alliance for ten years and is a former Main Street Advisory Board Member. He is currently Upper Guadalupe River Authority board secretary. As the longest serving member of Kerr County Historical Commission, he developed a strong love of Hill Country history and stories.
